The Block Gives Back During the Holidays: End of the Year Jawn
Two nonprofits team up to make the holidays brighter through human and animal CARE
(Baltimore, MD. December 15, 2022) — Companions and Animals for Reform and Equity (CARE) and Emancipet Nonprofit Pet Clinics are pleased to announce their support of a special event this Saturday, December 17 called the End of the Year Jawn.
This special event is about sharing resources with one of Philadelphia’s neighborhoods, that has been hit hard by unemployment and inflation. This is just a small way CARE and Emancipet can make the holidays a bit brighter for hundreds of families with pets.
The event will take place at the Maken North Building 3525 I Street in Philadelphia from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Saturday. Those attending will be able to get much-needed items such as toys, hygiene products, first aid items, winter essentials, household items, as well as pet supplies and vouchers. To make the event more fun, there will also be Skating with Santa at the nearby recreation center, free meals, and a game truck.
This event is part of programming provided by two Philadelphia nonprofits, The Block Gives Back and Safe Hub Philly. The Block Gives Back aims to promote community involvement and engagement throughout Philadelphia, by targeting challenging issues within a community and coming up with solutions with the help of stakeholders. Along with the support of 23 other sponsors, The Block Gives Back hopes to make 2022 the best End of Year Jawn yet.
